The Red Sox look to Stephen Wright for the series sweep in the 3rd game at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The Red Sox so far have been hot swinging the bats scoring 16 runs in the past two games. David Ortiz will return to the lineup this afternoon and will be looking forward to face Marco Estrada the Jays starting pitcher. Ortiz homered twice off him in three games last year. If you are setting a draft kings lineup today, I wouldn’t shy away from David Ortiz.
Stephen Wright’s last 3 starts from 2015 he went 2-0 and a 2.25 ERA. The knuckelballer takes the mound today and it will be very interesting to see what he can do against the Toronto bats. Both Joe Kelly and Porcello gave up their fair share of hits but the Boston run production has kept them in games. Another great story coming out of this series has to be the fantastic relief pitching. Noe Ramirez has come in and worked some tough innings as well as Koji Uehara and Robbie Ross Jr. Toronto is a tough team to sweep so the Sox pitching staff should have their hands full today. If the Red Sox can keep mashing the baseball this one could be another high scoring affair. Let’s just hope there are no more belt problems at the plate. It’s a beautiful day today and I can’t wait to see what savage outfit David Ortiz puts together. Whether it’s the gold medallion chain or the gawdy sunglasses with the sweatshirt on underneath. I am sure he will be pimping to the plate making Marco Estrada second guess every pitch he’s ever thrown.
