What a night for the NBA last night. The Golden State Warriors got to 73 wins last night breaking the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls regular season record for wins in a season (72). Sadly, Michael Jordan, who joined the Grizzlies last night in a last ditch effort to keep this from happening, failed miserably. Steph Curry had another incredible performance with 46 points in only 30 minutes. Insane. Curry also passed the 400 3-pointer mark for a single season which shattered his own record. Steph is also the only NBA player to have both 300 three-pointers in a season and 400 three-pointers. He has made more 3 pointers in the past 2 years than Larry Bird did in his whole career. Pretty spectacular if you think about it. This is all an after thought if the Warriors don’t win it all and they are primed to do so.
Also last night capped off the end of Kobe Bryant’s great career. He finished with 60 points, an NBA season high this year. The Lakers as a team attempted 85 shots last night, Kobe had 50 of them, the highest he has ever taken in any game in his career. But it was his night and it was a great way for him to go out. To cap it off, the Lakers pulled out the win. A special night for the NBA last night and it was a night we will all remember for a long time. Catch his post game message to all the Lakers fans. Good stuff. #MambaOut
