Skip Bayless has always been a Patriots guy. The former First Take host loves his Cowboys, but there is no question that he has a man crush on Tom Brady just like any other New Englander. Skip was at it again today on his Fox Sports show Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe.
Skip said, “I love the fact that the Patriots stepped up and fought fire with fire.” Skip is talking about the taunting penalty received by Rob Gronkowski who had enough of the Bengals. Especially Vontaze Burfict who laid a low cheap shot on Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett.

Skip said, “The patriots said to them (Bengals), you are not going to push us around like a bunch of Tom Brady pretty boys in our house.” He added that Gronk wanted the 15-yard penalty because he had enough of the Bengals. Gronk came out for one play and that the Patriots went right back to work. Bayless said the Patriots even scored an unneeded touchdown at the end of the game just to add insult to the Bengals. “In the end, I like the fact if you push them (Patriots) they will push back.”
And isn’t that why Skip Bayless is so great. He is never afraid to step up and voice his mind. When he is on your side, it’s perfect. Was the taunting penalty stupid? probably. Was it worth it? absolutely. That is what Skip is saying here and the man is right. No sports team should fall that bogus the Bengals try to pull off. This time, the pats gave it right back to them. What other sports personality do you know that would say that a taunting penalty is worth it? Skip, keep being you.
Here is Skip’s response to the Patriots antics yesterday.
