You’ll Need A Minute Or Two After Watching The Video That Played At Gillette Welcoming Back Brady

Nice video. Strange though that it’s set to “O Fortuna” by Carl Orff. I doubt it’s what the videographer was going for. Kind of grim.

    “Fate – monstrous
    and empty,
    you whirling wheel,
    you are malevolent,
    well-being is vain
    and always fades to nothing,
    and veiled
    you plague me too;
    now through the game
    I bring my bare back
    to your villainy.”

Then again, I’m only one out of thousands that know this.

    • Ross Blais

Probably not. It’s one of the most commonly used introduction songs in practically every sport…

    • Chris Hamel

That’s the music they play every single home game when they’re taking the field. Then again, you’re only one out of thousands that doesn’t know this.

      • Reniam

Wrong. I know this too. I just happen to know about more than just football and therefore am able to make a comment on the incongruity of playing an intro based upon the ill-fated fortunes of gods and men.

It’s not as if I expect people like you to understand. Try picking up a book sometime.

What’s so incongruous about playing a song that relates to the ill-fated fortunes of gods and men? When you come to Gillette Stadium to face the Patriots, expect to lose. Pretty close to ill-fated for an opposing football team entering the place. And what better way to greet Tom Brady, the slayer, on his return? Too smart for you own good.
