After many people thought that NESN would phase legendary broadcaster Jerry Remy out of the booth, we are now learning that Jerry will be back in 2017 and many years to come.
Jerry Remy signs a multi-year extension with NESN that has him doing 115 games per year. Good news for @redsox fans.

NESN announced Wednesday that color analyst Jerry Remy has agreed to a multi-year contract. He will work approximately 115 games throughout the season (30 more games than last season). Filling in for Remy on his off days will be the usual committee of Dennis Eckersley and Steve Lyons.
Remy has been associated with the Boston Red Sox for nearly 40 years as a player, coach and broadcaster. Remy will be joined by Dave O’Brien in the booth who joined NESN last season after moving over from WEEI.
