Boston Bruins defenceman Colin Miller delivered a devastating hit to Coyotes center Alexander Burmistrov. The hit occured a couple minutes into the 2nd period in a tied game.
Burmistrov’s head bounced off the ice after the blind shot from Miller. Coyotes medical personnel assisted him onto a stretcher, and he was wheeled of the ice after about three minutes, as Boston fans cheered on Burmistrov as he gave a thumbs up.

Miller was given a game misconduct and ejected from the game. Something that was totally the wrong call simply because of the result of this hit. The hit was completely legal, it’s the head hitting the ice that did the damage to Burmistrov. This was nothing more than an open ice hit and there was nothing dirty about it. If we’re going to start ejecting guys for these kind of hits, you might as well start playing the game in tin foil hats.
The good news is that Burmistrov is ok, he just posted this on his Instagram:The Bruins went on to win the game over the Coyotes 4-1
