Good news for Revis I supposed, especially in terms of finding a team that will pick him up this off season. The New England Patriots, who are in the midst of dealing with the Malcolm Butler situation, should certainly take a look at Revis.
Here’s the thing about Darrelle, he’s 31 years old, it’s not like he’s 38, he has something left in the tank. Did he dog it in New York? Probably, would be want to come back if the Patriots and Revis put some of their differences aside? I think he would. There’s no reason why the Patriots shouldn’t look at this guy in terms of a possible replacement for Butler, especially if he comes on at the veteran minimum.
This would be the biggest choke hold move in the history of Bill Belichick. Win a Super Bowl with the guy, release him, let the Jets give him the big pay day, then let the Jets release him and Bill swoops back in. Sign me up, there’s nothing like sticking it to the Jets and this move here would do just that.
