Well it’s not Martellus Bennett, but it’s a start.
The New England Patriots are closing in on a deal with tight end Michael Williams as reported by Jeff Howe from the Boston Herald.
Tight end Michael Williams is closing in on a new contract with the Patriots, per source. He's coming back from a torn ACL.

Williams was last with the Patriots in 2015 where he saw a very limited role. He racked up just 3 receptions for 26 yards in 2015 while being plagued with injuries. He then missed the 2016 season due to a torn ACL.
The move certainly won’t move the needle, but it just adds depth to a position that the Patriots will need depth at. I can’t imagine this deal being too much of a cap hit, when Williams was with the Patriots in 2015, he was making about $400k for the year.
