After dealing with 4 concussions in his last 4 seasons, Patriots offensive lineman/center Bryan Stork announced that he is stepping away from the game of football with a post he made on twitter:You have to admire and appreciate what Bryan Stork did here. At the age of 26 he is walking away from the game he loves, you have to think that health concerns weighed heavily on this decision.
Stork missed the first eight games of the 2015 season with a concussion. He also missed three games with the injury in his rookie season in 2014 and suffered a concussion while at Florida State in 2013.
In 2014, he was the main reason that the offensive line was somewhat stable, he essentially carried that 0-line all the way to the Super Bowl. It’s sad that he really looked like a mainstay on the line that year and is out of the game just a couple years later. You have to feel for the guy with all the health issues he has had. On the other hand, there’s a lot to be said about having the greatest of all time’s hands on your butt, even if it was for a couple of seasons!
Best of luck to you Bryan in your next venture.
