The Patriots have certainly been busy today, signing Stephon Gilmore this morning, then the rumor of possibly trading Malcolm Butler, the Patriots are shaking up the first day of the new NFL year.
Aside from free agents, the Patriots are locking up some of their current free agents, and they started by signing defensive tackle Alan Branch to a two year deal according to report:

Branch was remarkable last season for the Patriots, one of the best defensive lineman on the team, a huge anchor for this defense. Branch might be one of the most underrated defensive lineman in the NFL.
Good to see the Patriots locked the big man up for another couple years. Now it’s on to Hightower!
