Bruins defenseman Torey Krug left the game lat night vs the Senators just a few minutes into the game with an apparent lower body injury. Very quickly the Bruins declared Krug out for the rest of the game. I got the feeling the news wasn’t good, turns out, things aren’t looking good.
Torey Krug just left the Garden on crutches with a big, bulky brace on his right knee. So that's not encouraging Bruins news

Krug was spotted after the game wearing a bulky knee brace and was seen rocking crutches, not a good sign at all. Whether something broke or tore, it’s likely that his season is done. Tough break for this Bruins team that continues to roll towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
It’s going to be interesting to see if the Bruins make the move and bring up Charlie McAvoy, the B’s newest highly coveted defenseman. The move would go against the Bruins plan of holding him out until next year, if McAvoy plays this year, it would burn off one year of his entry level contract which would make him a free agent July 1, 2019 versus July 1, 2020.
Krug is a big part of this defense, the game last night against the Senators completely changed after Krug went down, Ottawa changed their entire strategy by forcing the B’s undermanned D-corps to retrieve pucks without their best puck-moving defenseman.
Hopefully the news is good, but expect the worst. Get better Torey.
The Bruins lost last night in a shootout 2-1. While the B’s lost the game, they still hold a playoff spot. Their final game is this Saturday against the #1 seeded Washington Capitals.
