PGA Tour golfer Kevin Na has won 1 tournament in his career. But that’s not keeping him from whining about this weeks major venue, Erin Hills located in Wisconsin.
The U.S. Open is historically one of the meanest, toughest, roughest, cruelest major in golf. Kevin Na apparently heard the ‘roughest’ description and took to Instagram to whine about the course, and mainly, the rough:
When I think of a US Open, I think of tall fescue. That’s what makes it so difficult. If Kevin has a problem hitting it in the tall fescue, easy solution, don’t hit it in there. If this rough is already in his head this early in the week, he’s toast. Any sports psychologist will tell you the mind doesn’t comprehend the word “don’t”, so this week when Kevin Na is standing over his tee shot and thinks to himself, “don’t hit it there”, guess what, he’s going to hit it there. It’s the same exact golf course for every other player on the tour. If you hit it in there, guess what, you have the luxury of spotters and spectators. They’ll find your ball, take your medicine and hack it out. Oh, and those former major winners he’s referring to, doesn’t include him, so quit bitching.
Golf isn’t about how good your good shots are, it’s about how good your bad shots are. The winner of this weeks US OPEN will be someone that can hit it straight, and recover if they hit it in the rough. It’s a test, a test that Na will probably fail… you play golf for a living, it’s not THAT bad. NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, HEY HEY HEY, You’re Gonna Miss The CUTTTTT!!!
