Nope, this isn’t satire or any sorts, this is just some good old fashioned snobby country club type stuff right here.
Tom Brady moved to Brookline and had a house built right on “The Country Club” as it is referred to. Tom attempted to join but got shot down after members thought that allowing two members, as high profile as Tom and Gisele, would attract too much attention perhaps and perhaps paparazzi, and that would be most unwelcome at a century-old institution that prizes privacy.
The request was put on hold, and the Patriots QB and his supermodel spouse were temporarily stiff-armed. It was suggested they reapply after Brady’s playing days were over.
According to the Boston Globe, Brady and Bundchen didn’t have to wait that long. The couple in recent weeks have been spotted playing The Country Club. No, they didn’t sneak in. Brady has been quietly admitted to the exclusive club, and his membership gives both he and his wife the privilege of using its many amenities, including the golf courses — both the 18-hole and the nine-hole — indoor and outdoor tennis courts, curling rink, Olympic-size swimming pool, skeet range, cross-country skiing trails, and skating pond.
Good for Tom. There’s nothing worse than some old fashioned golf clubs that are too stuck up for anyone and anything. They are literally the worst kinds of people. They’re probably going to tell him he can’t shoot any kinds of video for social media on the course, but that would probably be the best thing to happen to the club since Justin Leonard drained a bomb of a putt to come back and beat Europe in the ’99 Ryder Cup. Making Brady wait two years then reluctantly deciding to give him a membership? Come on. Tom could buy that club 50 times over. Be better Brookline.
