American Psycho Chris Sale was back at it last crushing his skull via a baseball. Pretty casual Thursday for Chris.

Chris Sale is a psycho. Everyone with a brain realizes that. When the news first broke that he signed with Boston, I was a bit concerned that his crazy girlfriend mentality wouldn’t be a great match with the bully that we call the Boston media. I was concerned that whatever goes on in that man’s head would just hit a breaking point, and straight up implode. Boy was I wrong.
I love this lunatic. Name another pitcher in the MLB throwing haymakers at himself mid-season. It’s not even the all-star break. Imagine post-season Chris Sale (knock on wood, or his head)? The best part is, all while being an absolute crazy person, he’s mucking the MLB. In the process, he’s accomplished some pretty impressive achievements:

Is 170 K’s in early July a lot? I think so. I’m not a math guy but it seems like a good thing.
Chris Sale has recorded 10+ Ks in 12 of his starts, passing Pedro Martinez (1999) for the most ever by a Red Sox before the All-Star break.

Not bad either. If I remember correctly, Pedro was pretty good at baseball in 1999. Not terrible company to be in.
Is Chris Sale all there in the head? No. But you kind of want that in a pitcher. Someone who lacks the ability to have feelings which means he can’t get nervous. Chris Sale is cold blooded, and it works for him. His brain doesn’t work the same as ours, and that’s why he’s him and we’re us.
