It was Throwback Friday for the Junipero Serra High School Facebook page.
Tom Brady’s alma mater posted what they claim to be the first media interview of the future Hall of Fame quarterback’s career. This interview is the equivalent of talking to the grapes before you put them in the barrel and turn them into fine wine. Check it out:
He has the same sounding professional mannerisms even back then, and that hair is to die for. A true stud in the making.
Dan Fouts, a Hall of Fame QB himself with the San Diego Chargers and now an NFL analyst with CBS, talks to a 17-year-old Brady in this feature from KPIX-TV in San Francisco in the summer of 1994. Brady was already a highly touted QB prospect as he entered his senior year at the San Mateo, Calif., high school. He of course went on to Michigan where the chip on his shoulder evolved after being a backup then as we all know, being drafted 199.
This was cool to see, this is exactly what throwback Thursday is for.
