Jayson Tatum has been on fire in the summer league and the video of him sinking multiple threes left Green Teamers praising Danny Ainge. Yes, it’s just a summer league, but we can still be excited about the plethora of young talent on the team. It also helps that Tatum is currently ranked first in PPG in the summer league with 22!
Summer League is great for seeing if a player has improved since the end of their college season: Jayson Tatum has gotten A LOT better.

Tonight’s game is the first to sellout in Las Vegas Summer League history and will tip-off at 8:30pm EST where we will see Tatum face off against the media frenzy known as Lonzo Ball. Ball was a major flop in his first game which can be taken two ways.
1. Could of been having an off night.
2. He scored 5pts against players that won’t be starting in the NBA so we could be looking at a potential bust.
I will go with the second because it’s more amusing and the thoughts racing through Magic Johnson’s head must of been miraculous. It’s too early to judge his NBA career of course, but you can’t kill the buzz of having anti-Ball Family material in your arsenal.

For now I want to enjoy the duo of Tatum and Brown that should give so much encouragement to Celtics fans gazing at the young bench. Tatum looks to fill the voids at forward and especially the depth issues in Boston while Brown should be a 25mins-a-game player this season. Regardless, tonight’s match-up of Tatum (the star of the summer league) VS Ball (the star of sports media hype) should give you a smidge of sports entertainment we so desperately seek in the offseason!
