Last night, Jackie Bradley Jr. robbed Aaron Judge of a 2-run homer in the 8th inning that would have made it a 3-2 game, instead, Bradley caught the ball over the center field bullpen wall and the Sox shut out the Yankees 3-0. It was the first time this season that the Yankees were shut out.
Aaron Judge finished the series 1-18 with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. After the game, someone shared some knowledge with us on twitter that he was a huge Red Sox fan back in the day: I KNEW there was a reason why I was drawn to this kid and liked him, he’s a freaking closet Red Sox fan playing for the New York Yankees. He probably took a little bit off that bomb last night so JBJ could catch it. The Yankees may have found and removed the David Ortiz jersey inside the walls of the new Yankees stadium, but one of us is in their clubhouse and that makes me feel good.
After the game, Judge paid some respect to JBJ for that incredible pitch:

I feel so dirty and weird liking a Yankees player, but this rivalry also doesn’t have the feel that it used to just a short decade ago. Now that ARod is gone, there’s no one really left to hate. Now we just have to wait till he hits the open market and he’s all ours.
