Anquan Boldin may have over 1,000 career receptions, but he still had to wait most of the offseason to latch on with a new team.
That changed today, as Peter Schrager of Fox reports that the veteran wide receiver has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills.

Big win for the Bills, this may secure them 2nd place in the AFC East. The Bills were desperately thin at wide receiver before the signing. Sammy Watkins was the only legitimate threat Buffalo had at the position, and his injury history means that the team can’t rely on him on a week-to-week basis.
Boldin’s exact role is unclear at this point. He can play outside or in the slot, but Buffalo’s lack of receivers means he’ll likely do some of both. He’ll be Tyrod Taylor’s primary security blanket and make plenty of plays when defenses react to Taylor’s scrambling and lose track of their coverage responsibilities.
