There were hopes that 2019 would be the end of Roger Goodell, but reports today indicate that Roger will be around until at least 2024 after a reported extension being in the works.
On his weekly call with Kirk & Callahan on WEEI, Tom Brady gave his thoughts on Roger being around for another 7 years. It comes as little surprise, then, that when he was asked about Roger Goodell’s reported contract extension to remain commissioner of the NFL, Brady had little to say.
“Nope,” Brady told Mike Mutnansky and Andy Hart on WEEI’s Kirk and Callahan Show. “I don’t have any thoughts.”
Tom having no thoughts on Goodell, actually speaks to a lot of how Tom feels, and how we all feel. It’s a shame this guy is still going to have a job after countless mishandlings. I’m not even referring to Deflate Gate, there’s the Ray Rice incident, Josh Brown, and countless other cases where he displayed a total lack of incompetence and consistency.
To me, a lack of response from Brady is the perfect response. It speaks louder than any positive or negative thing he could have said. Having no comment just shows us where he puts Roger Goodell, out of his mind.
Since Roger took over as commissioner, the values of teams have doubled, yet the league continues to have rampant abuse and drug issues.
