I know this may not necessarily count as news since it’s pretty much an accepted fact that Tommy Heinsohn will be announcing Celtics games until the day he dies. Which is a scenario that will most likely involve a referee making a call so outrageous that a 107 year old Heinsohn will simply pass away from rage after letting out one final “YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME”.
I think the most surprising thing about this “news” is that Tommy Heinsohn still actually has to sign a contract. I just assumed that he signed a lifetime contract like 30 years ago. I also realize that this Bill Doyle, who tweeted out the news, does not have a blue check mark, but there is simply something about his glorious mustache that makes me trust him as a credible reporter more than any blue check mark could ever do.
