Genius move by this subway performer. Generally speaking, people are pretty miserable while taking public transportation. However, if there is one thing that can unify a bunch of impatient Bostonian’s waiting for a train, it’s the infectious chorus of Sweet Caroline. It would take someone with a resolve of steel to withstand the urge of shouting out an inspired “BUM BUM BUM” during the climax of the song.
I would surmise that because of this subway performer’s excellent song choice his tip jar was filled to the brim by the end of the night. If I were him, I’d sing Sweet Caroline all night long, just wait until the train ferry’s off his current audience and start the song from the beginning when a new group of passengers enter the station. I’m pretty sure I just made this guy a millionaire.
