It seems like only recently that ESPN laid off many of its popular employees, but already, the company is bracing for another round of cuts.
According to a report by SportingNews.com, the cuts could happen as soon as the end of next month, with as many as 60 positions in line to be affected. This comes just 6 months after laying off 70 personalities.
A source with knowledge of the ongoings at ESPN told Sporting News that some high-profile personalities could be in the line of fire this time around: “This time it won’t matter if you’re ‘liked’ or not. It’s not going to be pretty,” one source warned.
That’s a shame for the people of ESPN. People are cutting the cord more and more and it’s a pretty easy decision to not watch ESPN anymore even if you still have the provider. Most of their content is unwatchable with their social and political agendas being shoved down out throats. People just want sports coverage, no one cares what LeBron ate for breakfast or where you stand politically. Although it’s freedom of speech, it doesn’t give you freedom of consequences.
