The Green Bay Packers, who have been dealing with a plethora of injuries, have cut veteran tight end Martellus Bennett.
UPDATE: BENNETT HAS BEEN CLAIMED BY NEW ENGLAND. Go to the home page for details!
Bennett joined the Packers this offseason after his tenure in New England. With Aaron Rodgers being knocked out for the season, Bennett hasn’t had much opportunity to do much of anything in Green Bay.

Bennett has caught 24 passes for 233 yards wth the Packers and could be a nice addition to rejoin the Patriots after his experiment in Green Bay didn’t go so well. Bennett has been dealing with injuries and was ruled out of this weekends game, but there’s still plenty of time left this season to have an impact. You can bet the Patriots make a call if he clears waivers. Dwayne Allen has been horrendous. Bennett was incredible in New England. Say what you want about him but he played through injuries and gave us everything he had.
if you fail to disclose a physical condition, you can go back to new england after the trade deadline to win another super bowl pic.twitter.com/24luVi46Rp
