Martellus Bennett, who was just cut by the Green Bay Packers, has been claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots. To make room for Bennett, the Patriots have waived DE Geneo Grissom.

This move 1000% makes sense, Bennett will be a much more useful 2nd tight end than Dwayne Allen, considering I have as many catches as Allen this season. Not to mention, he’s a much more solid insurance in case Gronk were to get hurt again.
Bennett is dealing with a shoulder injury right now, but he is expected to be healthy enough to return in short order. Bennett was an animal in New England last year. He gave us everything I had and played through injuries. He was a huge part of this team, he knows the system, this is a great move by the Patriots. It’s good to see Marty B back.
