The Patriots are heaving towards yet another division title and a Reddit user made a graphic that shows the division winners over the last 15 seasons and all it did is basically put into light just how dominant the New England Patriots have been over that span:
Since 2002, the Patriots have not finished in first place only twice; once was the the Super Bowl hangover year following the first Lombardi and the other was the year they tied the Dolphins (also the season Brady went down and missed the entire year).
A couple observations from this. Four teams haven’t won a division title in this span: Jacksonville, Detroit, Buffalo and Cleveland. The Patriots lead the way with 13 division titles, followed by the Packers (nine) and Colts (nine) and Seahawks (eight). Since 2002, the Patriots have also been the No. 1 seed a league-leading six times.
Just another visual of just how dominant the New England Patriots have been in the Brady/Belichick era.
