“The hoopla on Christmas, I don’t really get into that. I don’t necessarily think of Christmas as a holiday,” Irving said. “Looking forward to playing in front of the fans on the 25th and playing against a high-level Washington team and going against great guys.”
You know Kyrie, you make it really hard to like you. First it was all the flat Earth nonsense, which I was willing to let slide because I’m 51% sure you were just trolling. But then you have to go out and declare that you don’t think Christmas is a holiday. This isn’t National Squirrel Appreciation Day (which is a real thing), it’s Christmas. Religion aside, everyone agrees that Christmas is a holiday. If you asked members of ISIS if Christmas is a holiday they’d probably say “Uh yeah duh…but also death to America”.
The most frustrating thing about Kyrie is he makes these ridiculous claims and doesn’t even try to expound on why he believes it. At the end of the video he even says he’s looking forward to opening gifts on the 25th. If Christmas isn’t a holiday Kyrie, then WHY ARE THERE GIFTS?? If there are gifts, then is their a tree? And if so is it decorated? Or does the Irving family simple have a huge pile of gifts stacked in the corner of a room? These are the tough questions the Celtics media needs to ask. Abby Chin simply can’t let Kyrie Irving off the hook without explaining himself.
