Today is a sad day in the history of human civilization, as the spineless jellyfish of a man, Roger Goodell, will remain in power as commissioner of the NFL. The NFL’s Competition Committee, which is comprised of six of the NFL’s most powerful owners (including Robert Kraft) have decided to extend Goodell contract for another five years. And wait, it gets worse-
Goodell’s new deal reportedly worth as much as DOUBLE his compensation from first 10 years as commissioner when he made $212.5M from 2006-2015. https://t.co/jbF8UqrsbH

Just when you thought Goodell couldn’t be a more overpaid waste of space, he’s literally handed a Scrooge McDuck sized pool filled to the brim with gold medallions to dive headfirst into.
I guess the only explanation for this contract extension is that the NFL owners really enjoy having a puppet and punching bag as the commissioner of their league. Goodell is the fall guy for any bad press or negative public perception the league gets and the owners must be willing to pay a lot of money for that. Which goes to show as long as the NFL is making money, and Goodell is willing to be the league bumbling fool, his job is safe.
