ESPN:FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots visit the Miami Dolphins on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, and quarterback Tom Brady is on the cusp of setting another record in what has been a memorable season.
Brady enters the game with an NFL-high 3,632 yards on the season, and he needs 47 more to pass Warren Moon in NFL history for the most passing yards in a season by a quarterback after turning 40, according to ESPN Stats & Info
“But, he only throws 5 yards down the field!” Bet those people love the league high in passing yards.
Well, you can add yet another record to the mountain of achievements by Tom Brady. 47 yards will probably be achieved in the first drive of the Dolphins game. Can you imagine hating the Patriots and seeing these records being broken week by week, with a 10-2 record? Ouch. That must be the worst recurring feeling ever… Even without Gronk, the Patriots are 20-5 without him in past games and have the clear advantage over the Matt Moore/Jay Cutler led Dolphins. I know, the Patriots have struggled before against the Dolphins late in the season, but this team can’t be stopped. Breaking records and crushing lesser franchises is the routine on Sunday’s – that will not be different Sunday.
