Normally I’m pretty against getting any sports related tattoos (just buy a jersey or something) but if your team finally ends a 17 year playoff drought, I’m certainly not going to judge you for it.
I’m 25 years old, if I were a Bills fan this would be my first discernible memory of a playoff game in my entire life. Technically I would of been 7 years old during their last playoff appearance, but most 7 year olds are more concerned with legos and chocolate milk than watching playoff games.
Plus, this Bills tattoo is actually kind of funny. A nurturing Head Coach Sean McDermott cradling that sweet little blue buffalo with his tender yet firm grasp, while pouring some blue kool aid down its gullet to quench the beast’s thirst after a long 17 year drought. Also, I guess the Bills have just stolen the Philadelphia 76ers slogan of “Trust the Process”?
The whole image is very symbolic to how Bills fans whole heartedly believe that their franchise will actually be able to build off of this single playoff appearance. When in reality we all know the Bills will undoubtably find a way to screw it up. They don’t have a franchise QB in Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy is 29 and has maybe a year or two of good football left, and when things go to sh*t, ownership will obviously panic and fire Sean McDermott.
A couple years years from now, whoever got this tattoo will look down at the image in his leg, and long for the days of a 9-7 season and wildcard appearance.
