The battle between Boston and Philly fans continues, and fans are loving it. There’s nothing like a little friendly competition between two major sports cities leading up to a big game.
Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has placed a bet with Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter surrounding the 2018 Super Bowl. If Philadelphia wins, Brockton’s statue of the undefeated Marciano will have to wear Eagles gear and if New England wins, Philadelphia’s iconic Rocky statue will have wear Patriots attire.
The “Rocky v. Rocky” Super Bowl wager is on w/ @PhillyMayor Jim Kenney. The losing Rocky will wear the team garb of the #SuperBowlLII Champs! Mayor Kenney will also put up a keg of “Yards” beer against our Rocky Marciano wine. @stevedamish_ENT @Patriots @JoshBrogadirTV pic.twitter.com/XbbGsHCOPQ

In Philadelphia, the battle extends to the Museum of the American Revolution where their “Patriots Gallery” who’s name has been temporarily changed to “Eagles Gallery.” They even had a name changing ceremony where they played “Fly Eagles Fly” 18th century style with drums.
Even churches are making their case for which team they want to hold up the Lombardi trophy on Sunday night.
Dottie’s Donuts, who already made it known on social media that they are Eagles all the way, got a present from some Patriots fans from the Massachusetts staple, Dunkin Donuts. Safe to say they did not appreciate the gift.
The two teams are working hard this week to get ready for SBLII and the fans are preparing as well.
