Is a Tom Brady movie in the works?
Well, first a book titled “12“ will be released that explores TB12’s career and the comeback Super Bowl LI. The book will be published later this year, written by Casey Sherman, who co-wrote The Finest Hours, and Dave Wedge who co-wrote Boston Strong. The story will then be passed on to Oscar-nominated screenwriters Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson. The duo is known for their work adapting Boston Strong into the film Patriots Day.
The book will chronicle the Patriots historic comeback win in Super Bowl 51 and the infamous 28-3 lead by the Atlanta Falcons. The writers already have cultivated several sources inside the Patriots locker room to provide a first-hand look at what went on behind the scenes in a Super Bowl that had everyone on the edge of their seats. The game, which the Patriots won 34-28, drew comparisons to other iconic moments in sports history such as Muhammad Ali’s win over George Foreman in the 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle.”
Don’t start lining up at the theaters quite yet Patriots fans, according to SI, the book and movie will become available later in 2018. The only questions I have is, who plays Tom Brady?
The book and film will provide a behind the scenes look into the ups and the downs that led to the Patriots fifth Super Bowl ring. It will take you through the Deflategate controversy, and the miracle in Houston.
If you’re like every other Pats fan I know you’ve probably watched the Super Bowl comeback many many times, and this will just be one more excuse to relive arguably the greatest Super Bowl of all time.
