The New England Patriots have informed WR Kenny Britt that they will be picking up his team option for the 2018 season.
In 3 games with the Patriots, Britt caught 2 passes on 5 targets for 23 yards. Britt saw zero action in the post season. The 29 year old receiver didn’t exactly set the world on fire for the Patriots, but the Patriots saw enough in him to give him just under $1.5 million with another $500,000 in incentives.
Danny Amendola is set to be a free agent for New England, who hopes to have Julian Edelman and Malcolm Mitchell back in action after they missed all of last season with knee injuries. Brandin Cooks, Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett round out the receiving group in New England.
