Wow, didn’t expect to see this kind of news on a Thursday in June.
New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman is facing a 4 game suspension by the NFL for apparently violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substance policy according to Adam Schefter.
Patriots WR Julian Edelman is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substances policy, league sources tell @FieldYates and me. Suspension is under appeal.
More now on ESPN’s NFL Live.

Edelman has already filed an appeal with the league, but here we go. Let the hate pour in from the rest of the NFL fans that the Patriots are cheaters, but man come on Jules. I was all fired up for Edelman returning now we have to potentially see him sit out 4 games. It’s deja vu all over again! This was probably some stupid vitamin that the NFL banned for no reason at all..
The Patriots first 4 games of 2018 are against the Texans, Jaguars, Lions and Dolphins. If he loses his appeal, he would be eligible to return week 5 against the Colts on October 4th. The way I look at it, just like when Brady was suspended, a 4 game rest for Edelman means a healthy Edelman the rest of the season. Time to repeat what we did after Brady returned.
And as predicted:
