The New England Patriots brought in WR Eric Decker for a workout on Monday and were apparently happy with what they saw as they have just signed him to a one year deal:
As was building when Jordan Matthews went down… the #Patriots are signing WR Eric Decker, source said. They’ve been in talks for a few days. Will be a one-year deal.

With Jordan Matthews being cut after injury and Edelman being suspended the first four games of the season, the Pats needed some depth at WR and Decker is the perfect option.
At 6 foot 3, Decker is a versatile receiver that can help in core immediately with his veteran leadership. In 8 seasons in the NFL, Decker has 439 receptions, 5816 yards and 53 touchdowns. A perfect low risk-high reward signing by the Patriots.
