Wow, what a game. Heart attack city. I started the game as a 32 year old man and today I woke up feeling like I was 62. Watching Kimbrel attempt to get 6 outs is this year’s scary Halloween flick.
But the Sox prevailed and took a 3-1 series lead in the ALCS. And it was done in dramatic fashion. Andrew Benintendi made the catch of the night that ended the game. It was gutsy, it took balls of steel because if he catches it, game over, if he misses it, game over and the Astros win. Here was the call made by WEEI’s Joe Castiglione, and he fell out of his chair celebrating the win:

Unreal. You know, when that catch happened, my first thought was “oh no, joe is gonna have a heart attack!” Certainly made staying up past 1:00AM well worth it. That would have stunk staying up to see Kimbrel blow it. All I know is that guy needs to figure himself out. You know it’s bad when I find myself yelling at the tv to put a Price in. It was that bad. None the less, it’s a W and the Sox are one win away from the World Series. What a feeling.
