Satire- New England sports fans have a tough viewing decision to make tonight, as the Boston Red Sox face off against the Houston Astros in game 2 of the ALCS, while the New England Patriots look to take down the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs.
One person who understands the balancing act New England fans are facing by flipping between the two games is David Price.
When asked how fans will manage keeping tabs on both games, Price had a simple solution-
“Well, first pitch for our game is 7:09 and the Patriots probably won’t hit the field until sometime after 8pm. I can assure everyone that in that hour or so, I will have blown the game so badly that it will be wildly out of reach by the time the Patriots game kicks off”.
It appears that what Price means from this statement is that he expects to implode to the point that not even the potent Red Sox offensive will be able to mount any sort of comeback against the Houston Astros by the time he’s yanked by the mound. Which I suppose will make it easier for fans to focus their full attention on the Patriots Chiefs game.
