Born to father Edward Wesley Rodgers and mother Darla Leigh, Aaron Rodgers is the second of three sons and of English, German, and Irish heritage.

It was also in 2011 that Rodgers was awarded the Super Bowl XLV’s MVP. This was thanks to their win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Yes, Rodgers broke his collarbone in the 2017 season. This led to him playing just seven games of that season. It also led to the end of the Packer’s eight-year playoff streak. 

Once recovered, he led the Packers in all 16 games of the 2018 season. He threw 25 touchdowns to a career low 2 interceptions. Green Bay lacked in defense and ended on a 6-9-1 record which meant they missed the playoffs. 

This disappointing season led the Packers to an off-season coaching change, which resulted in them winning 13 games in the 2019 season. In this season, Rodgers threw for 4,002 yards and made 26 touchdowns.

The NFL reported back in March 15th 2022 that, after a lot of speculation and whispers, Rodger’s contract extension with the Green Bay Packers is green lit. 

ESPN reports that the contract extension will be for three years, with two voidable years in 2025 and 2026. The deal is valued at $150.8 million. 

There was some speculation about Rodger’s future with the Green Bay Packer, after a yearlong back and forth with the Packers about his future with them.  Entering into the 2022 League Year, he had one more year on his contract with them.

Despite the fact that Rodgers and his brothers were raised as Christians, in 2017 Rodgers stated in an interview that he did not follow any organized religion. 

From 2014 to 2017 Rodgers was in a relationship with model and actress Olivia Munn.

In 2018, he began dating former race-car driver Danica Patrick. Their relationship ended in the first half of 2020. 

In the same year, Rodgers announced that he is a limited partner in the ‘Milwaukee Bucks’ ownership group. This makes him the first active NFL player with a stake in an NBA franchise. 

In the second half of 2020, Rodgers started dating actress Shailene Woodley. The pair announced their engagement in 2021, but they broke it off in February 2022.

In January 2022, ESPN reported that Rodgers had not spoken to his parents or brothers for a number of years. He declined to disclose a reason for his estranged relationship.
