Performance shorts are brilliant for this type of scenario and offer you the protection and stability you’d need in these sorts of scenarios.
Compression briefs are also allowed and provide the wearer with the same sort of stability as performance shorts.
These are both within the rules of the sport and will keep you stress-free and away from nasty injuries.
One of the main injuries that you’re likely to experience without a jockstrap or a groin cup is bruising the groin area, which can often lead to weakened muscles and straining.
However, the injuries could be a lot worse with harder impacts, which isn’t what you want to experience when you want to be focusing on beating your opponent or partner.
There’s your answer. Jockstraps will probably be okay to wear when training or practicing, however, they are banned in official competitions, with some cases of people having to take theirs off before taking part in the contest.
After all, although they are good for protecting people’s health and their body, they are against the rules.
