How Many Days A Week Should I Practice Muay Thai?
Let’s get straight into it! You should practice Muay Thai three to four times a week.
Three to four times a week is considered a good rule of thumb to follow to improve your skill, develop your technique, and improve your fitness.
You should practice Muay Thai with a trainer too, who can observe and correct your technique where needed.

We suggest that you incorporate at least one or two cardio and strength training sessions into your Muay Thai practice.
You could do some cardio exercises before your Muay Thai sessions or finish the workout with some weight training.
This will ensure that you are improving not only your strength but fitness levels, which is sure to come in handy during a fight! You could also do your cardio as a separate workout session if you would prefer.
While you are sure to improve your fitness by practicing Muay Thai regularly, you will see more improvements if you incorporate other cardio exercises into your training routine.
Of course, the number of times a week that you can practice Muay Thai will depend on your schedule and availability.

For those Muay Thai fighters with a fight coming up, we suggest that you increase your training to five to six days a week.
This will help you best prepare for your fight and ensure that you are practicing your technique as much as possible.

Out of your five to six sessions, at least one or two of these should include sparring to help you prepare.

How Many Hours A Day Do Muay Thai Fighters Train?
You might be wondering how often professional Muay Thai fighters train compared to the general training routine we mentioned earlier.
Well, fighters will usually train for 2 to 3 hours a day, at least twice a day! Usually, these professional fighters will have two or three training sessions a day, lasting up to 3 hours per session! That’s like a full shift at work!
These sessions will happen year-round too, ensuring that professional fighters can progress their career and win any upcoming fights they might have.
Of course, the amount of time they spend training each day and week will vary depending on the fighter, but this is a general amount of time you can expect to find in Muay Thai fighter training.
This level of commitment to their training will help them achieve their goals, but you can expect there to be breaks due to injury, personal commitments, or if they are taking a break from fighting.
